The work briefly presents the scenario of Brazilian education and positions teaching as a civilizing tool, as it has repression in its constitution to operate. There is a dialogue about the environment being essential for the individual's psychic formation and the idea that psychoanalytic groups have aspects of a Winiccottian potential space capable of withstanding and sustaining the aggressive attacks of the participants, proving to be trustworthy. Based on an experience report, it is suggested that a way out of the obstacles to education in times of emergency affection is to provide more listening spaces in public schools.
